Verse for the day:
Romans 5:17
For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.
The wages of sin is death. It appears death is reigning at the moment (we even get a daily tally), but it isn’t. We are redeemed by the atoning sacrifice and that did much more than just reverse the effects of the fall. Kings rule. We are already ruling by grace but you have to receive it by faith.
Romans 8:38
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love
Lamentations 3 : 38
Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that woe AND well-being proceed ? (NKJV)
In the NIV this verse reads, Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that BOTH calamities AND good things come ? The answer clearly expected is ‘Yes’, but not with the implication that God is himself the ultimate source of evil per se !
Job 11:17-19
Life will be brighter than noonday, and darkness will become like morning. You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety. You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.
